Every June, University of Bristol's ChemLabS department arranges around five Climate Change workshops that each run for a day from 10am to 3pm.
This university-based experience includes a 2 hour practical period where students work on a variety of aspects of fuel chemistry, from alternative fuels to fuel cells to Grätzel cells. Lab coats and safety glasses are provided. After a lunch break students move to the lecture theatres for three talks including a 90 minute lecture demonstration on climate change from a leading expert.
ChemLabS can host up to 50 students per day.
Year 10 students.
