Lead Institution: University of Bristol
The project will have an on-going impact in the following ways:
1. Sustainability has been achieved - The project has garnered enough funds from a diverse range of avenues to continue long-term in partnership with a range of individual schools.
2. On-going roles for students - University of Bristol students from the Physics Education Unit will be able to provide on-going support to HiSPARC schools, benefiting themselves from such engagement.
3. A growing HiSPARC Hub - Other universities have shown an interest in joining the project, which will allow new hubs to develop. Plans are also afoot to approach private companies for additional funding, so that more detector systems can be purchased.
4. A growing online presence - A HiSPARC website for local news and updates has been established, alongside the original Netherlands' HiSPARC website from which materials for teachers and students in English will shortly be available.
