Produced by Lighting Up Learning Ltd in conjunction with the University of Bristol, the Guide to Delivering Effective STEM Public Engagement (which can be downloaded below) draws upon experience from the project and focuses on enhancing understanding of principles of pedagogy and practice from Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 3.

The guide includes sections on:

  • Policy and practice with reference to engaging young people and supporting teaching within STEM subjects
  • A brief introduction to whole school and classroom practice from Early Years & Foundation Stage through to Year Six
  • A short account of how the School of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol is building capacity to lead effective public engagement activities
  • A summary of how Higher Education Institutions may develop Public Engagement activities
