Guidelines on placement evaluation for HE staff pre-, during and post-placement, including information that can be modified to target employers and students
Material used in staff development workshops, including frameworks for the analysis of data to be used in evaluation
Improved definitions of the learning outcomes likely to be achieved from placements in specific disciplines and programmes of study

Outcomes:

It is hoped that, gradually over the longer term, the effects of this sub-project will be to give staff confidence in their evaluation of placement learning opportunities and any subsequent dealings with employers, that placements will be improved and that students’ placement learning experiences will be enhanced. As such, this project will have made a useful contribution towards improved employer engagement in an important aspect of the STEM curriculum.
