Lead Institution: Bournemouth University
Collaborating with: STEMNET, University of Bath, University of the West of England
The project will have an on-going impact in the following ways:
1. Through the work of those who attended the seminars - Learning from the project will inform the practice of those who engaged with the seminars. Some have already indicated that participation in the seminars has given them the information and confidence they need in order to implement PAL in their institutions.
2. Heightened awareness of PAL across the SW region - As a result of the project work, more people in the SW region are aware of the support and resources available through the National Centre for Peer Assisted Study Support and can benefit from the research and resources produced through this project.
3. The work of 'adopter' universities - Four universities received support from the project to establish their own PAL schemes which will launch for the first time in the 2012 - 2013 academic year - see here for the PAL reports for each of the 'adopter' universities.
4. Continued research - The PAL team at the University of the West of England have received institutional funds to continue their research and trialing of online, instigated by this project.
