Engaging with small to medium enterprises (SMEs) can be challenging for a variety of reasons, many of which were highlighted by academic staff in the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences at the University of Exeter during interviews for this HE STEM Project. SMEs make up a large proportion of industry in South West England, so it is important to harness their potential. The case study below looks at this area of industry engagement.
